STORY


It all started in a small kitchen in the middle of central Stockholm. The brand's founder, Åsa Rosén, has always had a penchant for goodies in all their forms. When a hectic lifestyle a few years ago contributed to a state of exhaustion, a long period of sick leave and a slow recovery followed. Åsa began to experiment with the diet to find ways back to a life in balance and explored what for her were new raw materials - food and crops that in various ways showed properties that are good for the body. This was the starting shot for a whole new interest.


Dishes, pastries, bars - many exciting innovations took shape in the small kitchen in Stockholm. Over time, product labs were directed more and more towards sweets and the goal soon became clear. Imagine if you could create a type of candy without having to add sugar - but which nevertheless tasted as good as traditional candy. A candy with natural healthy flavors, based on ingredients with interesting properties.


  

        

Warberg Candy Group, with solid experience in candy production since 1946, shared Åsa's vision of a new type of candy and continued the development of a new range during a couple of years of intensive work. And no, Tweek does not claim to be a dietary supplement or a miracle cure. Tweek Sweets is a new type of candy and we advocate balance in all areas of life. Being able to satisfy both body and soul in the same bite has been the given goal with Tweek from the start. And this is just the beginning.

lNGREDIENTS


Despite the fact that we have opted out of regular sugar and despite the fact that our tasty sweets have up to 50% fewer calories than regular sweets, we have not sacrificed taste, appearance or texture. We also stay away from preservatives, soy lecithin and palm oil. The truth is that we like our ingredients so much that we dedicate a page of our own. Our candy is rich in fiber and you will find only natural colors and armors in our range. Did you know that the red color in our wonderful jelly candy comes from sweet potatoes? And that our purple color is an extract from purple carrots? (For a detailed table of contents, allergens, etc., see the declaration for each individual product in the product gallery.)


   


FANTASTIC FIBERS. Our candy has a high fiber content and consists of a plant fiber mixture that is a combination of two different soluble fibers. One is called polydextrose and is a type of fiber that has a relatively low energy value and thus is advantageously used to replace the high proportion of sugar that forms the basis of traditional candy production. The other fiber is based on Tapioca - a starch made from dried cassava root, with the scientific (and somewhat complicated) name isomaltooligosaccharides. Many of our customers say they experience some satiety after a relatively small portion of our sweets, which can also encourage a more controlled consumption behavior around sweets and sweets - something we are more than happy to contribute to.


ZERO CALORIES. Erythritol occurs naturally in, for example, certain fungi, fruits and algae. Through a fermentation process, the sweet sugar alcohol erythritol is obtained. We use erythritol in small amounts, which means that the products are not considered to have a laxative effect. This is relatively unique when it comes to sugar-free / sugar-reduced sweets. While most sugar alcohols have a low calorie content, erythritol is basically completely free of energy.


RICE STARCH - A SMOOTH OPERATOR. Starch can be extracted from a variety of natural sources such as wheat, rice, potatoes, arrow root and beans - just to name a few. They are mainly used as a thickener to provide a stabilizing effect in various types of foods and dishes. Modified potato starch stabilizes our vegan products and gives them structure. Both rice and potato starch are naturally gluten-free.


OH GHEE! Ghee can also be described as shredded or clarified butter and is a pure butter oil, traditionally used mainly in Indian cooking. Ghee is made from a completely natural source (milk) and thanks to the manufacturing method, the amount of lactose is low. This is due to heating the butter and filtering out most of the milk protein and milk sugar, and the remaining butter oil is therefore generally better tolerated than ordinary butter by individuals who are sensitive to dairy products. Ghee has a very full-bodied, deep and buttery taste. In our TWEEK TOFFEE colors, it gives a wonderful, browned tone to our three full-bodied flavors!




   



SUPER SWEET STEVIA, with the Latin name Stevia Rebaudiana, has been cultivated for hundreds of years, mainly in South America. Due to its sweetness, Stevia has been called, among other things, honey leaf, sweet leaf of Paraguay, sweetleaf, sweet herb, candyleaf and honey yerba. A sweetener called steviol glycosides is extracted from the stevia plant. These are up to 300 times sweeter than sucrose (regular sugar). Both the European Food Safety Association (EFSA) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) consider Steviol glycosides to be a safe sweetener.


NATURAL NEWS. The demand for natural ingredients in the foods we eat and drink is steadily increasing. We like this development and do what we can to contribute to the range of the more natural alternatives. We use natural colors and aromas in all our products. The natural colors come from a variety of vegetables, fruits and plants with coloring properties. Sweet potatoes, purple carrots, thistles are some of them.


NUT GELATIN. Gelatin, which gives jelly candy its chewy and slightly bouncy texture, is naturally rich in collagen. We only use beef gelatin of the best quality from cows that have been allowed to graze real grass. Our products can thus be enjoyed by those who for various reasons do not want to eat gelatin from pigs.


TWOEKCHOKLAD. We produce our own chocolate, specially adapted to the requirements we place on both the nutrition profile and taste and quality. We use real cocoa butter and high quality cocoa mass in our chocolate. The chocolate has no additives of palm oil. The lactose-free milk powder we use comes from Nordic, fresh milk and the taste is rounded off with real vanilla.
